Our Approach.

Building a supportive learning community.
A child’s development is not in isolation - it is an ecosystem that is made up of multiple systems which influences how they think, feel, act and what they value. As such, the people we engage and how we all respond to the child plays an important role in shaping their development.
To start, our volunteers, parents and social workers are key stakeholders in the immediate support system and feedback loop. Information on how the children learn and behave in various settings helps us understand how to best support a child.
Inspiring children to love learning and creating.
Learning can be a stressful and daunting endeavor for a child. This anxiety is further compounded when they are less adept and interested in the subject. With further stressors upon the learning process, we observe children having fewer opportunities to apply their learning through creative output.
Therefore we make learning relational, by hearing our children's concerns and capitalizing on their interests and strengths to boost their confidence and motivate them to learn. We also incorporate kinesthetic and tactile elements - to bring learning to life for them.
Altogether, we develop children’s passion to explore new words and meanings to understand the world better, and express themselves better.
